BED HEAD Curlipops Spiral Styling Iron Review

WHOA we are rolling it all the way back to the beginning of SMP with this one.
One of my very first videos on YouTube was a demo and review of the Tigi by Bed Head Rock N Roller curling wand. Young and awkward on camera. I demoed the tool with my mediocre hair styling skills for the world to see. It is now my most watched video !

To be honest, my hair styling skills have not improved any since then but regardless when I came across this Spiral wand in the Ulta Holiday catalog, I had to try it. For old times sake of course. This sat in my closet still in the package for a few months. Not for any particular reason other than I wanted to make sure I gave this video the dedication it deserves.

Another truth. I do not curl my hair too often. I would like to. But it is quite time consuming. I have tried other curling devises such as the Conair Infinity Curl Secret. Which creates beautiful tight Shirley Temple like curls. However, the process of it bringing the hair into the chamber, waiting and releasing for some reason takes me longer than using a wand. I am also lazy and like to take too large of sections with my wands. With the Curl Secret you can't do that.
On a day to day basis I try my best to let my hair air dry. Then when I grow impatient I whip out my Infiniti Pro by Conair 3Q Brushless Motor Dryer to finish the job and smooth things out. This is another older post but is still very close to my current routine. Actually now that I think about it I did film a How to Tame Frizz . My Hair Care & Style Routine not too long ago.

As for the Curlipops Spiral wand ... Let's watch and find out what kind of curls ( or if they are curls at all ) this tool will provide.

Ok so what are your thoughts on this funky wand?

This tool definitely gave me more of a wave than a ringlet curl.

Which I am totally fine with. I have my 1 inch Curlipops wand for more traditional curls.
The waves lasted me 4 days!!! It got to the point where I had to wash my hair because my roots were gross. But I really didn't want to because my waves still looked great.
Other things worth mentioning. I like that the wand had a cool tip but also came with a glove. Because I am clumsy. The cord swivels around freely which avoids the cord from tangling. The barrel gets super hot, up to 400 degrees Fahrenheit if I remember correctly.

Final Verdict: I am keeping this Spiral wand.
This is going to be my Summer hair go to tool.

What is your favorite way to curl or wave your hair ?

  1. I have just a regular barrel that I use to curl my hair. I have been seeing a lot of L'ange hair curlers and I have been getting one.
