MAKE UP FOR EVER Pro Sculpting Lip Swatches + Review

I received these lippies in the mail as part of a PR package a while back. I rediscovered them the other day and thought it was about time I share their beauty with you all.
When it comes to compact dual products, Make Up For Ever has right idea.

Much like their hidden compartment Pro Sculpting Brow pencil. See my full review and demo of the Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting Brow here.

Scroll all the way down for video swatches.

Theses Make Up For Ever Pro Sculpting lippies have one end that is the lipstick.
And the other is a sponge like tip that screws into a thick creamy iridescent highlighting powder.
The best thing about these is that not is the lip stick side matte and long wearing. The highlighting shades really make the lip looks unique and fun.

When it comes to lip color I tend to love softer shades like Rust and Rosewood
Rust

However, the deeper shades from this collection are equally as gorgeous.

Purple
Review

As for the formula of the lipstick. I would classify it as smooth but stiff enough to stay put. I didn't have any troubles with this bleeding outside the lines of my lips at all. It does wear away in the middle first. With is pretty typical for me. I didn't notice a difference in wear whether I had the highlighter on or not. Overall, I enjoy applying and wearing these. I do wish there was a pinker shade of this though. By the way retail value is $27. I find that to be a bit steep for one lip product. BUT if Carmine Red or Purple is 'your' special shade and you are going to wear it. Then they are totally worth it!

Swatches

Shade 10 - Rosewood
Rosewood here looks a bit shinier than it normally would because I forgot to wipe off the lip moisturizer I had put on before applying this. Go me ! Such a beautiful, wearable color.
Shade 10 - Rosewood with Highlight
The Rosewood highlight is a soft yet uplifting pink.
Shade 11 - Rust
Shade 11 - Rust with Highlight
Rusts' highlight gives the lip look just a tiny subtle hint shine and color.
Shade 40 - Carmine Red
Shade 40 - Carmine Red with Highlight
This va va voom shade is made even sexier with its slightly peachy pink topper.
Shade 50 - Purple
Shade 50 - Purple with Highlight
With the most drastic highlighter of them all this purple shade is swoon worthly. Normally I shy away from deep colors but I actually kept this shade on after shooting the swatch clips for the next video I was filming.

Which shade of this collection is your favorite ?
